The Engineering teams are adding their requirement for experienced automation engineers to join their busy and fast paced teams to not only work on the Controls and systems that they currently use, but to be part of the team leading the change in the newest technology. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide day to day automation & manufacturing support to the site
  • Provide recommendations for streamlining and standardisation and improvements to manufacturing processes through weekly review 
  • Support engineering and automation and process control activities
  • Participate with the site project teams in the development and review of the User requirement specifications and support capital projects on hardware and architecture selection and support final execution of projects
  • Focus on data quality from MES (IDHammer and Lineview) with regular review on Data
  • Provide Root Cause analysis on issues and provide improvement actions
  • Support the development and delivery of standard training packages in Automation and Controls to ensure the continued development and upskilling of the engineering teams

To be successful in this position, you must be Degree qualified (or time served with relevant experience) and be fluent in the fault finding in Siemens and Allen Bradley packages. You must be a data driven individual who is passionate about new technologies with a real desire to drive towards industry 4 standards through the development of technologies and processes but just as equally, being able to train and inspire people towards these new ways of working.
