Nine Twenty’s Drinks/ Whisky client is keen to place a Bulk Spirit Manager within the team.  The purpose of this role is to maintain manufacturing policies and procedures which ensure full compliance with all relevant regulations and standards pertaining to the operation of the Company.  In addition, the role will communicate with external partners to ensure the smooth operation of mature & new make bulk spirit to and from the site.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day to day activities of the Ancillary & Maturation teams at the distillery ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
  • Consult with other similar staff in associated companies within the group to ensure adequate supply of mature spirit to enable their packaging operations
  • Develop and maintain full manufacturing systems and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, such as but not limited to, COMAH, the British Retail Consortium (BRC) standard, etc
  • Together with other departmental managers and supervisors ensure our staff (permanent, temporary & contractor) are fully trained & instructed in all job requirements to ensure the quality of our products and they perform their job roles in a manner consistent with our quality policies
  • Maintain regular contact with outside organisations to ensure the Company remain aware of new and future developments within the Whisky industry
  • Construct the annual delivery schedule for our exchange contracts with other whisky distillers and manage our operations to deliver against this plan

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years Management experience, ideally within the food or drinks FMCG manufacturing environment
  • Outstanding proven business achievements as a result of recommending and implementing improvements
  • Sound knowledge of Stock management, good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP principles
  • Qualification and certification Brewing or distilling and/or flavour assessment

Essential:

  • HND/Degree in Science Discipline.
