Nine Twenty Engineering & Manufacturing are delighted to be continually working with our Medical Device Manufacturing client based in Stirling who are looking to add a Buyer/Planner to their team on a full time and permanent basis.

This is a really interesting company who are looking for proactive, dynamic individuals to join their team and be part of their continued growth. 

As a key member of the Supply Chain Group who oversee activities from customer schedules, through procurement and warehousing to finished goods distribution you will be responsible for material purchasing and planning. Based at our Alloa site you will report to our Senior Production Planner/Buyer.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensure materials are purchased on time to support Manufacturing activities and product sales.
  • Review and Improve Procurement processes and ensure the materials received meet delivery and quality requirements.
  • Work with Manufacturing and Development to source new materials and suppliers.
  • Develop and implement Supplier contracts.
  • Negotiation with key Suppliers of newly sourced Materials and Components.
  • Creation of Raw Material Specifications.
  • Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and communication.
  • Support continuous improvement activities within supply chain processes to improve performance and drive down purchasing costs.
  • Generation and completion of Works Orders within the ERP system
  • Support the development and running of production schedules
  • Maintain all electronic supplier information to ensure compliance
  • Monitor Supplier performance and KPI’s

Essential Skills

  • Experience in a medical device Manufacturing environment.
  • Assertive, resilient and welcomes change.
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good Supplier Negotiation skills.
  • Track record of developing a continuous improvement culture.
  • Experience in using an ERP system preferably Net Suite

Desirable Skills

  • Trained ISO13485 Auditor
  • Experience quality driven GXP working environment
  • Green Belt Certified.
  • EH&S Awareness
