We have an exciting opportunity for a Cartoning Technician to join my clients team based in Alloa. 

The purpose of this role is to handle medical devices during manufacture and packaging processes, in line with quality standards and customer demands.

You will be part of a small production team you will be responsible to support development work and introduction of packaging improvements. 

Technical responsibilities of the role

  • Supporting manufacturing process by carrying out strip collection and storage activities
  • Carry out all packaging operations efficiently and as per procedures and work instructions 
  • Understand and ensure packaging process critical quality elements (CTQs) are met.
  • Handling of materials efficiently within the packaging area.  
  • Supporting of routine calibration/maintenance checks to keep packaging equipment compliant.
  • Supporting trials of new materials and processes for product handling and packaging.

Our client are looking for the following skills

  • Experience of following/working to written procedures and completing accurate records.
  • An organised & motivated individual with excellent communication skills
  • Someone who is computer literate
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Experience of operating within a GMP/other regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Material handling experience.
  • Experience of operating process equipment.
  • Awareness of Lean Manufacturing/5S techniques

You must

  • Be familiar with business goals and work with colleagues in delivery of individual and team goals.
  • Undertake own training and support development of team members where required.
  • Communicate effectively within own team and with other departments as required.

Compliance responsibilities

  • To ensure completion of accurate batch records and relevant audit paperwork.
  • Ensure procedures are followed and work instructions and support the maintenance and update of production procedures.
  • Record and communicate all process observations/deviations in timely manner and raise non-conformances as required, supporting investigation and resolution of these.
  • Meet all relevant GMP and HSE requirements.
