Nine Twenty Recruitment are delighted to have partnered with Global Engineering firm Cummins across their UK and European operation. They are currently looking for a senior engineer with specific experience in Diesel Engineer calibration to be based in Darlington and to lead and support their global sites in leading and contributing to projects of varying scale by applying specialised knowledge of engineering principles and practices.

This is an exciting opportunity in Darlington for a Diesel Calibration Engineer where you will work both on UK products and supporting our teams across the globe.


Your impact will be seen in these and other ways:

  • Applying specialised knowledge of engineering principles and practices across various areas and projects

  • Applying technical expertise on complex components or projects

  • Leading projects of varying size

  • Participating as a key contributor and being accountable for project success.

  • Influencing at department or program management level.

  • Providing input on program-related decisions.


Skills and Experience Required:

  • Relevant work experience required, such as responsibility for several components of a project or a complex component of a project.

  • Knowledge and understanding of diesel engines / after treatment systems

  • Practical / hands on experience of working with engines

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices


Required Education, Licenses or Certifications

  • Associated STEM degree would be beneficial but not essential
  • HND in relevant STEM subject.
