I am delighted to be working with our client who are looking for a Document Controller to join their team on a temporary basis. This is a full time Monday to Friday role (with an early finish on a Friday!)

The purpose of this job is to:

Provide cover for the permanent Documentation Control during a period of Maternity leave.

The Documentation Control is responsible for the operation of the electronic documentation control systetm (Singlepoint) used by Mentholatum for the administration of controlled documents in compliance with the expectations of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

To issue and control documents and monitor the progress of documents in accordance with established procedures.

Be the main contact for any issues relating to documents or system errors. Upkeep of the product register and be the point of contact for customer technical systems.

Principle duties of the role is to:

  • To develop and maintain essential documents
  • Activate, issue, circulate and withdraw controlled documents in accordance with existing procedures
  • Track and maintain the routine update of documents
  • Upkeep of internal and external archiving
  • Scanning and Filing of documents
  • Site leader for the electronic documentation system and contact for the off­ site reporting of issues
  • Other such duties as may be reasonably required Core responsibilities/ deliverables:
  • Issuing of documents in-line with required timelines
  • Issue of product codes and barcodes for products
  • Review of document status

Key accountibilities:

  • Smooth administration of the electronic documentation control system
  • Providing routine status reports
  • Prompting authors/ reviewers to progress their documents

Skills:

  • Computer literacy is a requirement
  • Good organisational skills are a requirement
  • Good communication skills are required
  • Good problem solving skills would be beneficial Qualifications:
  • A working knowledge in computerised systems is essential
  • Competency in basic computer systems e.g. Word and XL is essential l<nowledge
  • Knowledge of electronic documentation systems would be beneficial
  • An understanding of EU GMP would be beneficial Experience
  • Experience with electronic document management systems would be beneficial
  • Experience in the Pharmaceutical or similarly regulated industry would be beneficial
