They are currently looking for a Manager/Leader with specific experience in Electronic Controls to be based in Darlington.

This is an exciting opportunity in Darlington for an Electronic Controls Leader. Cummins UK is a place where you can work on industry leading engineering projects at the cutting edge of Diesel Engine technology.

Key responsibilities:

  • Reviewing software release content together with both local and remote controls team.

  • Validating electronic interface of all sensor and actuators, with particular emphasis on exhaust fluid injector and pump

  • Developing / validating on-board diagnostics for all sensors and actuators

  • Providing input for the topics above into system and subsystem FMEA and both NPI / current product processes.

  • Performing field tests and providing analysis.

  • Leading and managing a small team

 

Qualifications

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Strong knowledge and experience of embedded software

  • Previously worked with the application of embedded software within an engine / automotive environment – i.e. On-board diagnostics, integration of electronic actuators

  • The ability to communicate and work effectively with remote teams

  • Some leadership, management or mentorship responsibility in previous roles

 

Required Education, Licenses or Certifications

  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Engineering is desirable
