Nine Twenty Engineering & Manufacturing are continually working with our Medical Device Manufacturing client who are on the look out for an Equipment Engineer to join their team on a full time and permanent basis.

You will be exposed to a wide range of engineering activities across laboratory equipment, prototype equipment, high volume production equipment, packaging equipment & air handling systems. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Self driven and ability to take ownership whilst achieving goals and objectives
  • Be able to plan and organise work
  • Be able to lead multiple projects at a time (2-3) from conception to design through to delivery and validation 
  • Develop & optimise existing & new equipment approaches  over R&D or Production Activities 
  • Generate Validation master plans
  • Execute validation and other qualifications activities 
  • Manage & implement CMMS 
  • Achieve the required degree of competence on all equipment sets 
  • Manage contractors 
  • Troubleshoot production & facilities equipment 
  • Identify validation risks

Skills required:

  • Relevant technical experience in medical device or a similar/regulated industry
  • Ability to indentify & resolve equipment issues using a range of techniques - schematics, manuals, validation documentation, CMMS
  • Familiar with Solidworks or similar CAD packages (desirable)
  • PLC Programming experience (desirable)
  • Experience in high volume manufacturing (desirable)
  • Automation Vision Inspection Programming (Cognex VisionPro & Insights Spreadsheets)
