Our client who are leader in revolutionary diagnostic led care solutions are going through a huge expansion in the manufacture of their life saving medical devices. They are looking for an Equipment Engineering Manager to join their facility based in Alloa or Eurocentral.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide the lead on up to 4 large equipment and/or new process development projects from conception and design through to delivery and validation.
  • Delegate goals and lead other team members to successfully deliver.
  • Identify Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE which incorporates Yield, Throughput & Uptime) issues and drive improvements.
  • Provide training to other team members on equipment sets.
  • Carry out troubleshooting activities on production & facilities equipment as needed.
  • Carry out test strip investigations and relate results to equipment or process issues.
  • Develop and execute validation protocols 
  • Ensure team members are compliant in all activities.
  • Adhere to GxP and work within the company QMS.
  • Identify validation risks and their likely impact (i.e. understand impact of equipment modifications on validation).

Skills required:

  • A degree in Engineering or similar relevant qualifications.
  • Relevant technical experience in the medical device (or similarly regulated) industry.
  • Computer literate with a good knowledge of MS Office products.
  • Ability to correctly identify & resolve equipment issues with the use of a range of aids and techniques e.g. schematics, manuals, validation documentation, CMMS.

Desirable:

  • Familiar with SolidWorks or similar CAD packages 
  • PC / PLC programming experience.
  • Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Qualification.
  • Automation Vision Inspection Programming (Cognex VisionPro & Insights Spreadsheets)
