Nine Twenty are delighted to be working exclusively with our progressive, Energy sector leader based in Edinburgh.

Now is the time to join this industry leader as 2018 will see this organisation enter into new, exciting markets. They are now looking to hire a capable and ambitious business manager to take on the role of Head of Supply to take responsibility for their new energy supply offering.

This will be aimed at a subset of industrial and commercial customers.  Launching in October 2018, they will provide transparent market access for CHP operators, battery developers, small merchant generators and energy-intensive industrial sites.  Using their 24-hour control room and live smart grid platform, they will monetise the flexibility of their customers in on-the-day markets such as the Balancing Mechanism.

The organisation are a leading demand response business; they provide rapid access to response and reserve energy and they deliver this with much lower cost and much lower emissions than conventional power stations.

As a business they have pioneered their industry and they lead the aggregated demand-side reserve services for electricity system balancing, and continues to lead this sector in volume, technical capability and innovation.

They create this reserve by aggregating small generators and flexible electrical loads into capacity groups that are made available to the UK’s Distribution Network Operators for short periods when the national or local electricity system is under stress.

These generation assets and electrical loads are owned by third party industrial and commercial businesses that partner with them for market access and service provision.
