Nine Twenty are seeking an experienced Logistics & Supply Planning Assistant, to be based within the Supply Planning team at East Kilbride. 

The position reports to the Logistics & Supply Planning Manager and will assist with all core functional activities relating to the supply of finished goods in accordance with the Company’s sales forecasts. The role will involve on-going administration and maintenance on the computerised systems (SAP & APO).

Main Duties:

  • Represent the Supply Planning function at weekly scheduled review meetings to survey, agree and action the latest APO/ SAP MRP output recommendations. Process transactional updates on APO/ SAP as agreed to ensure that all demands are met within specified timescales with stock in place at designated SAP supply plant. 
  • Liaise with the Export Logistics team in South Africa to agree despatch timescales and plan efficient container load configurations to ensure optimal utilisation of available container capacities.
  • Liaise with nominated shipping agents over collection times and documentation requirements for export loads transferring from South Africa into the UK Hub. Nominate the preferential shipping route based on required delivery timescales and costing efficiencies.
  • Arrange insurance for aforementioned containers/ flexi tankers importing from South Africa
  • Liaise with destination plant over delivery timescales ensuring that dates agreed relate and link to latest monitored shipping timescales. Maintain all order delivery dates on SAP to reflect latest delivery timescales.
  • Review and ensure that all import documentation raised by the nominated shipping agent is correct in every detail prior to final HMRC submission.
  • Conduct a daily review of audit reports to ensure that receipts have been successfully transacted on SAP
  • Liaise with the nominated transporter, in relation to the movement of consignments from the production plants into the UK Hub. Process despatch and receipt of Stock Transport Order on SAP ensuring accurate order status at all times.
  • Process despatch and receipt of all other Stock Transport Orders between plants on SAP as required and agreed following APO/ SAP MRP review.
  • Process external production, materials and spirit issue bookings for bottling production operations at external sites. Update all key stakeholders on progress as required.
  • Process the allocation and despatch of Sales Orders from external plants on SAP as required
  • Process the receipt of Purchase Orders for finished cased goods into external plants as required following delivery advice
  • Clearly communicate objectives, processes and results required to all stakeholders and ensure buy-in and commitment towards the supply planning schedules
  • Assist with periodic stock reconciliations ensuring that the SAP system fully reconciles to stock reports provided by external warehouse partners
  • General administration support for Logistics and Supply Planning Manager
  • Build effective relationships with suppliers and internal departments
  • Demonstrate personal energy and passion aligned to Company core values

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Ideally qualified to degree level (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience within a production planning role is preferred
  • Strong admin skills and IT Skills (word/ excel)
  • Knowledge of SAP essential
  • MRP/ERP experience is essential
  • Excellent business and data analysis capabilities
