Nine Twenty are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager for our Perthshire based client, to lead all operational aspects of the order-to-delivery process and providing management reporting for the Head of Supply Chain.

The Logistics Manager will provide inspiring leadership and personal development of the Warehousing, Customer Logistics, Stock Control and Traffic Management teams.

You must have strong Leadership and Influencing skills, with all work levels, internal functions and suppliers, with an ability to make decisions and the resilience to see these through to completion.

With a strong and proven ability to plan; you will organise and prioritise your own workload, and manage workload of others to ensure deadlines are met.  You will also bring a high level of commercial acumen with the ability to manager budgets and negotiate commercial contracts.

Strong interpersonal and people management skills are essential for this role as you will be responsible for recruitment and selection, performance management, development, motivation and team building.

Key Experience/Skills:

  • Detailed understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes, effective budget management and understanding of business P&L and project management principles
  • Detailed understanding of UK warehousing and transport best-practice processes, systems and ways of working
  • Knowledge of warehousing and transport Health and Safety obligations, FTA road traffic legislation etc
  • Proven track record of success in a Logistics leadership role in FMCG Logistics (<10 years total experience preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire and develop teams
  • Demonstrated ability to provide the vision and leadership required for successful implementation of significant change programmes
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills, with all work levels, internal functions and suppliers, with an ability to make decisions and the resilience to see these through to completion
  • Strong and proven ability to plan, organise and prioritise own workload, to manage workload of others to ensure deadlines are met
  • High level commercial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and negotiate commercial contracts
  • Strong interpersonal and people management skills including recruitment and selection, performance management, development motivation and team building
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational management

 

 - Reporting directly to the Head of Supply Chain, you will be based at the Blackford site with some travel expected including overnight stays.
