A brilliant opportunity to join a leading and well known organisation as an engineering team leader to provide a safe and efficient troubleshooting, repair and maintenance service to production by maximising the use of the engineering resources while ensuring compliance with quality and health and safety standards. 

Main responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate with production to ensure engineering support where required to meet the weekly production plan
  • Develop and coordinate the maintenance requirements of all the production equipment within the production are met

Provide engineering technical advice/assistance to the technicians when required

  • Ensure all H&S checks have been completed in accordance with the  framework
  • Ensure all engineering work is carried out in a safe manner in accordance with the site H&S rules
  • Identify and order spares required for both preventative maintenance as well as critical spares to ensure machine uptime.
  • Liaise and control any external contractors required for technical assistance or who carry out maintenance duties under support contracts
  • Monitor line performance and identify areas for improvement/investment to ensure that the 5 year business plan can be met.
  • Ensure a high standard of housekeeping within the workshop and its equipment is maintained
  • Through the engineering team, support the testing, implementation and recording of all new products onto the production lines 
  • Create and develop risk assessments and method statements for the key engineering tasks within the production area

To be successful for this position, you should be time served in an engineering discipline and have experience of managing maintenance teams through performance management, appraisals and driving Improvement projects.
