Our client is a specialist electronics contract manufacturer, focused on the assembly and testing of complex electronics with demanding performance characteristics. The company operates out of a state-of-the-art facility in Livingston and works with a broad spectrum of companies ranging from early-stage start-ups to blue chip market leading multinationals. The Marketing Account Specialist will be responsible for managing and executing targeted business development and sales generation strategy focused on the creation, maintenance and development of a broad and vibrant Sales Pipeline. The role will utilise existing contacts and networks, research, databases, social media and CRM tools to undertake direct customer account-based targeting. The existing portfolio of marketing materials together with new self-generated content will be used to attract and engage prospects. The Marketing Account Specialist will be responsible for managing leads through a qualification process and successfully transferring ownership to the Business Development Managers.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong working knowledge and experience in social media tools including LinkedIn, Twitter, and CRM with specific experience in utilising these platforms for targeted marketing & business development purposes.
  • A confident and articulate communicator in both written and verbal skills, with the ability to generate media marketing materials to support the direct targeting of potential customers.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong investigative skills utilising a range of research sources and techniques to identify and track potential customers.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills to ensure optimal pipeline management and progression (including transfer to BDM’s)
  • Relentless in hunting for new opportunities with strong enthusiasm and motivation to succeed.
  • Good skills in Microsoft applications – Excel, Word, Publisher, Powerpoint

The key responsibilities are:

  • Identifying target customers based on defined criteria in relation to the market sector, geographical location, technology fit and targeted persona.
  • Identifying the key persona and generating target lists in social media / CRM tools for direct Business Development and marketing
  • Maintain the target list(s) and log activities conducted.
  • Conduct direct target marketing utilising social media and CRM tools including LinkedIn Inmails and email channels utilising specific target marketing materials.
  • Support the development of marketing materials in conjunction with external partners and also generate a level of marketing materials to supplement the external media.
  • Responsible for posting marketing through social media channels to general audience utilising CB and Business Development accounts.
  • Target industry professional bodies and existing customers with social media postings.
  • Monitor target account(s) activities through social media. 
  • Generate reports in relation to target account activity, responses, and lead generation.
  • Perform initial lead qualification to define criteria and facilitate an introduction to Sales and Business Development Manager.
