Nine Twenty are working with our well established client in their need for a Packaging Development Manager to join their team permanently. 

You will be part of the Technical & Compliance leadership team within Packaging Development & responsible to guide, coach & mentor the NPD Team to deliver Packaging Development Projects on Time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

• Manage, coach, and develop the Packaging team to ensure effective delivery of new product projects.
• Be heavily involved with continuous improvement initiatives
• Deliver specialist packaging development services to Marketing and Operations
• Provide technical support to procurement team
• Provide technical packaging support to the quality & engineering teams
• Establish focused network and relationships with suppliers and packaging specialist providers
• Ensure the development of packaging that meets marketing brand development needs and ensures efficient supply chain operation
• Establish effective mechanisms to review and improve operational quality/cost/efficiency of existing packaging
• Manage functional team and development project budgets
• Develop and maintain KPI reporting suites

Skills required:

• Many years experience in product development coming from the FMCG, Food or Drinks industry 
• Recognised technical qualification in packaging development: i.e. Diploma in Packaging Technology or successful track record in packaging development
• Strong Project Management Capabilities 
• Have a collaborative & open approach, sharing ideas & challenging.
• Energy and enthusiasm; candidates must find the work "fun" and enjoy being accountable and willing to hold others accountable.
• Ability to undertake short-term travel globally.
