Nine Twenty are working with our Glasgow based Textile Manufacturing client in their need for a Product Manager to join their team permanently. The Role:

As a Product Manager, you will focus on innovation of new products, fabrics & systems for the market. You will understand the market and customer needs and work collaboratively within a team environment. You will be involved in full project management from concept to fruition ensuring smooth communication & collaboration with all departments involved. You will preferably bring with you a Degree in a Design or Engineering discipline along with at least 3 years industry experience with strong innovation & design skills coming from a Lean Manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Project management from concept to fruition of textiles & products -  ensure full project definition, agreement, engagement of teams and delivery of all aspects of project

  • Identifying product opportunities

  • Customer trusted Lead Contact and Support

  • Training and Manufacture Lead for Customers 

  • Communication and collaboration with all departments involved in the project process 

  • Maintain database of all known Product Issues and FAQ’s

  • Evaluate the effectiveness and suitability of sample products from existing and prospective suppliers

  • Maintain supplier and competitor databases

Skills required:

  • Degree level qualification in Design or Engineering Qualification or equivalent experience 

  • At least 2-3 years industry experience 

  • Strong leadership & innovation skills 

  • Strong in depth experience in Design Processes 

  • Experienced in Lean Manufacturing processes preferred
