Nine Twenty Engineering & Manufacturing are delighted to be representing our Manufacturing client based near Falkirk as they search for a Production Manager to join the team on a Permanent basis during a period of change where they are looking to overhaul existing processes and procedures to support increasing product demand/customer base.

The Production Manager will be responsible for the planning, organisation and control of multiple production lines based on site. You will ensure that products are produced efficiently, on time, within budget and will demonstrate a hands-on management style, relaying strategies and managing  & motivating staff to ensure high quality service delivery.

 

Key Responsibilities:

*To manage and maximise labour efficiency and pursue continuous improvements to yield productivity and profit while maintaining product quality and consistency, site and member safety, and sustainability of the operation

*Creating and maintaining a positive work environment of mutual trust and respect for others.

 *Managing the performance of direct reports, ensuring on-going coaching & development, communicating expectations.

* Take an above and beyond approach to ensure production schedules are achieved on time, every time

*Lead efforts towards achieving ‘manufacturing excellence’ through a lean management, commercially aware approach

*KPI setting and monitoring

*Work closely with other departments and senior management, communicating plans and alerting of any identified issues

 

Person Specification:

*Ideally possess 5+ years experience of production management in a fast paced manufacturing environment

*Affirmative individual with good communication skills who can be a visible leader and lead by example

*Ability to work under pressure and adapt/change plans at short notice, in line with demand

*Knowledge of, and experience of implementing lean manufacturing methodologies

*Organised and structured approach to work

*Willingness to work flexibly in response to changing organisational requirements
