An exciting opportunity has arisen for our client who are looking for a Production Supervisor to join their busy and fast paced manufacturing Production Team.

The purpose of the job....

The successful candidate will be responsible to supervise the activities of production operators and ensure compliance with all internal processes and procedures ensuring operators are adhereing to Health & Safety and working in a clean & tidy working environment.  To strive towards 100% on-time delivery performance for customers products, through cost-effective management of resources and processes

Duties....

  • To ensure that agreed processes, procedures and performance standards are known, understood and practiced by team members, through effective training and monitoring of personnel.
  • To highlight and implement timely, corrective actions if any of the above procedures are not to the required standard.
  • To plan direct and implement resources for the attainment of production goals.
  • To communicate, implement and monitor company health and safety policies and procedures.
  • To set daily targets for all production lines and report these to Production Manager.
  • To identify the training needs of individuals and assist in the personal skills development of production operators.
  • To demonstrate continued improvement of 5S standards within the factory.
  • To demonstrate continued efforts to improve productivity within the operation.
  • To reduce any unnecessary expenses to the operation.
  • Encourage operators to follow ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 standard and be involved in the company’s Environmental Management System as appropriate.
  • Execute and enforce general company policy and procedures

The perfect candidate must have....

  • Excellent communication skills with a professional attitude. 
  • Be a good decision maker and can have the ability to work under pressure and multitask.
  • Have good motivational skills and good at problem solving.
  • Higher grades in Math’s and English (essential)
  • Appropriate Supervisory Management qualification (desirable)
  • 3 years line management experience within an electronics manufacturing operation (preferable)
  • ISO 9001 / 2015, ISO 14001 &  COSHH and risk Assessment experience
  • Be able to work under pressure and be decisive, a problem solver
  • Be a good listener and able to motivate operator and team leaders to achieve required goals
  • Always try to maintain a positive and constructive approach to assist fellow employees within other departments
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Computer literate
  • Aware of the importance of Health and Safety
