Due to an internal promotion, my client is seeking an experienced Project Manager for their busy site on the outskirts of Glasgow. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Responsibilities: 
    To plan, manage and deliver allocated vehicle projects from concept through to after sales service, ensuring the required elements of high standards, quality, cost and delivery are met.
  • Define project deliverables, resource requirements and work plan for the project and manage their development and delivery.
  • Responsibility for input and directives to initiate from the bid process through to project closure.
  • To estimate and plan projects (in conjunction with the site planning function) from start to finish, with built in contingencies. To ensure that the project plan contains clear milestone deliverables aligned with the contracted agreement.
  • To undertake risk management and to deal with all aspects of the project scope.
  • To ensure that the project is delivered within the financial requirements of the business and constantly review opportunities for betterment of return.
  • To ensure work is carried out to required quality standards
  • To closely manage project scope and manage the variation process to minimise unsecured work.
  • Work closely with customer management to understand the business requirement for the project, developing effective working relationships and on-going management processes for the project.
  • To ensure projects meet industry leading quality standards and legal requirements.
  • Manage, monitor and motivate the cross functional team assigned to the project.
  • To conduct project presentations and compile reports
  • Identify any further opportunities as they relate to the specific project or additional customer requirements.
  • Effectively communicate relevant project information to all stakeholders

To be successful, you should be: 

  • Degree or equivalent education (Engineering / Commercial preferable), or suitable experience in Project Management.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to adapt and learn
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Able to travel both nationally and internationally
