A rarely available opportunity to join a leading Global organisation who are undergoing a transformation and have a newly created position for a Quality Team Manager to to set and improve quality standards across Manufacturing Operations in adherence with company quality guidelines.  To inspire strong customer/consumer focus within Operations and lead Quality improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will be driving forward the Business Unit concept within a specific area.

Key Accountabilities Include:

Managing all aspects of Quality within an assigned Business Unit and be the face of Quality, proactively driving improvement and to eliminate non conformance through root cause analysis and robust corrective and preventative actions. You will drive all aspects of the Quality Roadmap and Quality TRACC action plan within the Business Unit and continuously improve the short and long-term performance of the Business Unit through the Roadmap action plan, the implementation of best practice, the elimination of defects and by monitoring and tracking against KPIs.  You will also be responsible for recruiting, training, developing and leading a team of permanent employees to ensure customer expectations are met over a three-shift operation. 

Along with this, you will proactively feed into the budget process and work closely with the Factory Managers to minimise Cost of Non-Quality within the Business Unit by reducing and eliminating sources of non-quality.  Your involvement in New product introductions will be key and you will proactively contribute to the introduction of New Products and Value Engineering initiatives through the Business Unit.

The client is looking for the for the following skills and experience:

  • Significant management experience in Spirit Industry or other FMCG environment
  • Degree or equivalent qualification/experience in a Production, Quality, Packaging or Engineering discipline.
  • Knowledge of Lean principles
  • Strong data-driven problem solving skills.
  • Must be able to provide leadership which directs and focuses the contribution of others to meet the business needs.
  • Capability to lead teams in a ‘lean manufacturing’ environment.
  • Must demonstrate a quality and customer focused approach to problem-solving and decision making.
  • Must be committed to continuous improvement.
  • Highly PC literate, numerate and able to analyse data and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Financial awareness and control techniques, good use of budgetary systems.
  • Demonstrate commercial awareness.
  • Able to prioritise and work to time constraints.
