Nine Twenty have a great opportunity for a Quality Technician to join their clients organisation who are a specialist within the Automotive Industry in the Glasgow area.

The purpose of this role is to support and drive Health and Safety activities as well as supporting incoming inspection and calibration system.  Working closely with all functions to support ongoing development of internal and external quality and health and safety processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Health and Safety:

  • Investigating/recording incidents and accidents
  • Supporting and undertaking risk assessments and site inspections
  • Ensuring that equipment is installed correctly/safely
  • Writing internal health and safety policies/strategies
  • Compiling statistics
  • Keeping up to date and ensuring compliance with current health and safety legislation

Incoming Inspection:

  • Support and develop incoming inspection processes
  • Carry out incoming inspection
  • Manage calibration process and system
  • Support Engineering with supplier related issues
  • Verification of goods in certification, creating of Customer certification, assisting Quality Engineers with Customer returns



  • A formal Health and Safety certification and training
  • Quality Management
  • ISO 9001 Qualificaiton
  • UT/PT test certifications

Skills and Experience:

  • Sound knowledge of H&S regulatory requirements and procdedures
  • Engineering background (desirable)
  • Attention to detail
  • Communication
  • Sound knowledge of MS office
  • Understanding of ISO 9001:2008 or 2015
  • Experience of process mapping
  • Internal Auditor (desirable)
  • Problem solving techniques
