As part of a further expansion of our client’s product portfolio with a 5 year growth plan we are delighted to have an opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer with experience in Ozone.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Electrical Engineer’s responsibilities include analyzing existing electrical systems and making cost-effective improvements, conducting research, designing testing methods, completing quality assurance, inspecting the equipment, running diagnostics, as well as training new hires. You must ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.

Key Duties

  • Designing and developing ozone generation products using corona discharge
  • Developing, reviewing, updating, modifying, and approving electrical design plans and work schedules
  • Managing and leading projects, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and liaising with clients and other engineers to ensure projects are completed to specification, time, and budget
  • Ensuring that products are designed and comply with the respective industry standards such as EMC, CE, UL, NSF, etc
  • Development and programming of ladder logic software including new product development and fault finding on existing products
  • Directing the design and manufacture of our outsourced PCBs with our manufacturing partners
  • Establishing relationships with clients, vendors, suppliers, other professionals, and expanding networks
  • Maintaining and improving existing engineering processes
  • Participating in conferences, events, and networking and learning opportunities
  • Drawing up budgets, schedules, company regulations, and various other documents
  • Conducting research, performing diagnostics, and troubleshooting equipment
  • Ensuring a safe, positive work environment
  • Ensure that all prospecting activity is aligned with the strategies of your line manager and the company’s published 5-Year Plan
  • Work effectively together with the dedicated commercial support team
  • Issue weekly reports on business activities to your line manager
  • Learn and demonstrate the company products and deliver customer training as required

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience in developing ozone generation using corona discharge
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Master's degree preferable
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in the electrical engineering, control, and automation industry
  • Practical and demonstrable experience of designing and working with product based high voltage systems
  • Experience of developing, testing and optimizing new product developments is critical
  • Previous experience of developing disinfection products using ozone is preferred
  • Practical experience with CAD software
  • PCB design and development experience would be a plus
  • Cost of Goods is a critical aspect of our business and you must have excellent relationship skills, are a good communicator and an excellent strategic negotiator with a proven track record of developing new products and managing third party service and material suppliers
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • A thorough understanding of disinfection technologies and applications would be an advantage.
  • You are fluent in English. French language skills would be a plus
  • You know how to work confidentially and with respect for the company’s image
  • Must have a responsive and dynamic character
  • An energetic and enthusiastic self-starter who hits the ground running and does not stop until our objectives are achieved are critical success factors in this role
  • Able to operate autonomously when required but must be a good team player with a good sense how to operate in a collective
