Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Advisor 

East Kilbride 


Nine Twenty are delighted to be working with our Manufacturing client in their need for a Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Advisor to join their team permanently. 

Reporting directly to the Technical & Compliance Manager as a SHE Advisor you will be responsible for the health, safety & environmental compliance practices and procedures at all UK sites.

The Role: 

  • You will lead the implementation of SHE practices and procedures at all sites 
  • You will provide “on the ground” and remote advise to all sites 
  • You will provide visible shop floor presence and engagement with the workforce, supporting cultural change and day to day compliance.
  • You will support the development, implementation and management of existing and future H&S plans
  • You will support the development and implementation of the H&S improvement action plans
  • You will support the development and lead the implementation of our COMAH compliance plan
  • You will support lead the development and delivery of H&S improvement projects with the operational teams
  • You will provide support to all sites to ensure that they are compliant with our company and legislative H&S procedures & policies
  • You will lead the development of and support the delivery of environmental & sustainability improvement projects
  • You will develop relationships with appropriate local regulatory agencies
  • You will develop and maintain KPI reporting suites that meets the requirements of Distell and local regulatory bodies
  • You will embed the routine monitoring, capturing, evaluation and reporting of SHE KPI’s
  • You will improve and embed root cause analysis of safety and environmental incidents
  • You will identify, develop and support systems improvements in the delivery of our H&S and Environmental management systems

Skills required:

  • A background in Safety, Health & Environmental 
  • Experienced within a Manufacturing environment 
  • Experienced working within a COMAH facility would be beneficial
