I am working closely with a leading drinks manufacturer who are seeking to recruit an experienced manager for their Spirit Supply and Blending area of the business. This organisation is growing and going through an exciting period of change and have created this position to focus managing all aspects of Spirit Supply Operations, ensuring key targets and disciplines are met in H&S, Production, Cost, Quality, Customer Service and People development and to promote and drive the development of Lean Manufacturing & continuous improvement across all functions within Spirit Supply by way of involvement, coaching & developing employees at all levels.

To be successful in this role, you should:

  •  Have a broad knowledge of Scotch Whisky Spirit Supply operations.
  • Good process knowledge in cask handling; Blending & Vatting; Drain & Fill operations  
  • Track record & proven people skills - ability to lead, motivate coach and inspire Operating Teams
  • Have a broad knowledge and understanding of all relevant Environmental, Health & Safety legislation, and HM Revenue & Customs. •
  • Have comprehensive knowledge of all management and ISO Systems.
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and experience of Lean implementation within a production environment 
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships cross-functionally
  • Have a broad understanding of Financial / Commercial / Procurement practice  
  • Have proven knowledge of IT systems
