Nine Twenty's client are seeking an experienced Technical Advisor for their Base Stocks Sales and Marketing Technology Support Group.

You will closely with Fuels, Lubricants and Specialities Marketing across the European region to support an optimal base stocks product offering.

Key Responsibilities will be:

  • Work with lubricant additive companies to obtain optimal formulations with our clients base stock products
  • Provide technical support to the Sales and Marketing teams to maximise our client's product offer
  • Support product representation, performance and regulatory compliance; including identifying technical trends to further drive product enhancement
  • Develop and deliver technical training and best practice standards for sales, marketing and/or coordination groups

This role will be based out of the Fawley site, however, location is flexible including out of our client's Belgium site.

Key Experience/Skills:

  • Degree qualified, preferably in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or an equivalent subject
  • Relevant professional experience, eg with an additive company or in base stocks and/or lubricants in a technical advisory capacity
  • Strong IT skills, specifically an experienced and competent user of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of additives and formulation development processes, preferably including finished lubricant formulation and applications
  • Knowledge of base stock products and processed, including the base stocks industry and business in general
  • Working knowledge of product quality assurance

Please be aware this role will involve frequesnt (up to 50% of the time) international travel - mostly within Europe.
