Nine Twenty’s clients are looking to recruit for a Technical Shift Operator who will be part of a Team and who always thinks of Compliance, Quality, Cost and Continual Improvement.

What are my Key Responsibilities?

  • As a Technical Shift Operator you will safely and efficiently operate the relevant cell laboratory processes/plant/equipment as part of a shift rota (day and night shifts)
  • You will have a scientific background and will naturally and strictly follow the instructions as outlined in your standard operating procedures, always ensuring compliance and quality

What are my Key Duties?

  • You will always display safe and hygienic working practices, and will ensure that the requirements of the Integrated Management System are strictly followed to ensure compliance with H&S, Environmental and other legal requirements to produce safe products and co-products which meet strict quality parameters. 
  • You will ideally have an awareness of REACH, FEMAS and COSHH requirements
  • You will have the ability to operate, manage and continually contribute to the optimisation of the production processes and energy usage from raw material intake to outgoing product

Do you have the following Skills and Qualifications?

  • You will have previous solvent/chemical/distillation production experience or experience of operating a plant within a related manufacturing sector
  • Ideally you will have an understanding or have knowledge of hygienic/sterile process/manufacturing operations and environment, or show an awareness of the importance of such an environment and be willing and able to learn
  • From your previous experience you will be able to demonstrate your knowledge and experience of working strictly within defined safety, environmental, quality and feed safety standards and procedures
  • As the plant is automated, you must be proficient and confident in the use of information technology and automation systems Additional skills that are advantageous: Scientific and/or engineering background; awareness/experience of continuous distillation; COSHH trained; FLT licence
