Nine Twenty’s drinks client have an exciting opportunity based in Glasgow.  Our client is looking to recruit a Warehouse Manager to lead and manage an effective and efficient cased goods warehouse operation from receipt to storage and despatch.  This is set to be a big job and requires a forward-thinking individual who can really drive change!


  • Lead, coach and develop warehouse team to enable the provision of a first-class service
  • Evaluate training and development needs and record and monitor performance of team members on an ongoing basis
  • Design and deliver training programmes to team members
  • Provide support to team members and promote business and team values and the achievement of departmental and business objectives
  • Responsible for warehouse operations and managing the activities of our 3PL warehouse providers
  • Develop high quality and effective working relationships with relevant stakeholders 
  • Manage the relationships with 3PL warehouse providers
  • Lead, develop and optimise business processes within network and 3PL providers and monitor and report on provision of service
  • Work closely with the Planning team to manage finished goods stock levels at own and 3PL warehouses
  • Work closely with the Logistics Co-ordinators to ensure optimum stock level are in warehouse to meet demand
  • Responsible for accuracy of cased goods inventory
  • Responsible for pallet management, audit and accuracy of pallet inventory
  • Assist with the preparation of Departmental budgets and monitor costs to ensure within Departmental budget and most cost-effective means are utilised
  • Authorise payment of warehousing invoices
  • Assess and plan to ensure optimum plant, space and resource utilization
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders to lead the execution and reconciliation of inventory counts and related HMRC reporting
  • Review and monitor departmental regulatory, audit, security, H&SE and HMRC activities and ensure compliance in all aspects and where possible reduce possibility of business risk
  • Ensure team members meet deadlines and that all transactions processed, documentation prepared and execution of inbound and outbound plans meet customers’ requirements in all aspects
  • Ensure that team members maintain accurate and timeous data within departmental administration processes
  • Monitor and optimise business processes and review and develop departmental procedures and reporting systems
  • Provide reports to demonstrate performance improvement and achievement of departmental and business objectives
  • Ensure that working environment is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
  • Investigate solutions for critical issues in order to continuously improve efficiency and customer satisfaction and that root cause analysis is completed to ensure corrective actions are shared
  • Promote and implement improvements to increase efficiencies and encourage best working practice
  • Ensure that any barriers to the provision of first-class service are eradicated promptly
  • Lead and coordinate supply chain optimisation projects and business improvement initiatives.
  • Appraise Customer Services and Logistics Manager of any issues which may affect the quality of service provided by the department


  • HND or Degree Logistics, Management or Warehouse Management
  • Minimum of 5 years management experience within an FMCG operational environment or within a logistics warehouse environment
  • Demonstrated team leadership and people management skills
  • Experience of dealing with 3PL suppliers
  • Experience of Excise compliance
  • SAP experience
  • Strong planning and organisational skills with a high level of accuracy
  • Proven ability to drive change and process improvement initiatives
  • Strong decision making and troubleshooting/ problem-solving skills
  • Capacity to co-ordinate multiple priorities in a challenging fast paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong IT skills (Excel, SAP/ERP systems).
